Do car dealerships issue "demo" cars to salesmen?
I heard that car dealerships, not used or classic dealers, issue "demo" cars to salesmen in order to promote the vehicles and help with sales of a particular model. My mother purchased a "demo" car back in 00′ but those were different times. Does anyone know the likelihood, requirements or what auto makers do give out "demo" cars to salesmen??
Is the Volvo 240 heading for Classic Car status?
Theere’s one for sale on eBay (UK) right now and it looks all set to reach £1000, which is an astonishing price for a 21 year old car.
What or where is the best locations to sell a classic car?
Hello everyone,
I would like some advice on where to sell a classic car.
Which cities would pay the most for a classic vehicle?
Im a kid in school, and I need to help someone I really care about sell their car to take care of some financial issues, and instead of trying to advertise it in as many cities as possible, pin point where it would be the most effective to try and sell a vintage car.
Which cities and sites in the U.S or anywhere for that matter would be the best place to advertise a car for sale.
P.S i know about craigslist – but don’t know which cities would be the best place to reach on there. I am going to do as many as i can but i would like to cut down on wasted time.
ebay is more of a last resort because of the huge fees, and not getting what the car is worth.
auto trader, cars.com. classic cars.com, and oodles.com – any sites that get a lot of reputable views that will merit advertising on there especially if it cost to list.
I could use some advice on where online and offline in the real world and the type of individual to try and sell it to.
I want to do everything i can to make sure this person does not get ripped off and i want to help as much as i can. every serious answer is greatly needed, and if you don’t know ask someone else who may.
For everyone that reads this and gives the best advice they can, from the bottom of my heart,
thank you.
what's the best way to sell a classic charger in this market?
Ok so the dad of my mom’s business partner has an all original 66 Dodge Charger for sale. It’s in good shape, and he has ALL the documentation on it from new. Yet he’s apparently having a hard time selling it (he’s asking 11k for it) and from what I’m told it’s in decent condition if not better.
(he could have probably sold it for 3x what he’s asking a few years ago of course)
But basically from what I’ve heard from her craigslist and the autotrader have yeilded nothing but a few sparse/lowball offers. And while I am a fan of muscle/classic cars. My area of expertise is more ford/chevy and I don’t really know enough about mopar to really give her any specific advice past looking for clubs and local car shows to take it to.
So any ideas/help w/ this would be appreciated
I should add that I have tried contacting the local mopar club, but the website is gone, and all numbers I find are old.
Also (if it matters) the car is in San Diego,CA
Where would I find old cars to restore?
I’m looking to do a project with my dad. We both love cars from his youth; 1960 – 1970 hot rods. He personally has a 1969 Corvette and a 1968 Charger but we don’t have access to them at the moment and we are looking to find a old car from that time and that type of car that needs to be completely restored.
We are talking the whole thing! Needs new engine, new body, almost all new parts, new interior. We want to fix this car from the ground up. So if anyone knows a site or a place I could call that has classic cars in this condition for sale I would appreciate it.
I once found a site that sold cars, I think it was in Kentucky but I can’t find the website anymore.
Need help on starting a classic car restore biz?
PLEASE give me honest advice about this idea. I need some guidance.
Im 32 and have a fair knowldege of old cars. I rent a small apartment in brooklyn with my parents. Me and popps want to buy and sell muslce cars from the 70′s. We dont have space or garage. The car will be on the street until it is sold. We are thinking of getting ones that are almost fully restored90% that need minor work.
1. My question is that would this be ok if we just buy one and sell it and make a profit and then take the money from the first sale and buy more.
2. Is there a market for 70-72 Chevelles or cars like this. Woudl it be worth it in todays economy?
3. Eventhough i have no garage or driveway would it be ok to park it on the street. I will get full insurance coverage. Im just scared. Is it practical.
4. Click this link and tell me if this car is too cheap and why do i see some like this that are worth 30k dollars and this is way cheaper…what is the difference here. Am i missing something?
