Import cars from the 1960s/ 1970s?
by 70 Torino Guide on Tuesday, September 7th, 2010 | 2 Comments
My dad and I currently have a 1976 MG Midget that we bought and are restoring. We are almost done, and just need a paint job. Anyway, we plan on keeping it for a little while, then selling it and getting a new car. Our favorite cars are the Corvette Stingray and Alfa Romeo Spider, but they are pricey, so we are thinking of getting another import. We know of triumphs and Jaguars, so I was wondering what other import cars were cool in the ’60s and ’70s that we could consider. Thanks!

Fiat Dinos (especially the Spider)
Datsun 240z
vw karmann ghia
citroen 2cv
fiat 500
honda z600 (or whatever the original z was called)
though you prolly already know about em; they are quite damn popular. out of the 4 mentioned above, i’ve only driven the karmann ghia (a ’71, to be exact). and i’m not sure if you’d find any of them to be very good looking OR cool either. but yea…fwiw…
oh, and every once in a while i see one of those old honda s600 here in manchester. they look pretty cool to me.
